The book follows the two investigations, the official police investigation and the unofficial investigation by the ex-con father. One of the investigations follows the rule of beat first and ask questions later, which seems to get to the answers. No one needs to know the details. Say You're Sorry is an excellent start to an interesting new series. I am not a fan of narrator Chris Dukehart. She does an okay job with this novel.
